Now you can deploy your servers in Sweden's most secure server room. Pionen can withstand a nuclear attack; and with connections straight into the Swedish Internet backbone, you get a lightning fast connection for your business-critical systems. Today, the Pionen is probably Sweden's most modern data centers. Shell protection, which was already wide, has been further strengthened. rock shelter is still atomic sure, but it is now - also newly equipped with armored doors and a comprehensive electronic entry systems.

Everything is doubled

The facility is built to the highest dependability. Everything is doubled or, in some cases, trip platformer.

All optical fibers carried by various cable passageways, electricity as well.

There are dual high-voltage transformers, all servers can be connected to two different phases and dual UPS plants purify stream of spikes and keeps the voltage constant.

Should the accident be there and the stream disappears for longer than ten minutes takes one of two diesel generators. If a generator breaks, there is also where extra security.

Each diesel generator has a capacity of 850 kVA (over 600 kW).

The entire data center is of course also controlled environment and are constantly ideal 22 degrees Celsius with 50 percent humidity.

Maximum safety

Stockholm would suffer a natural disaster or terror attack electricity or affecting the computer and telecommunications can act as a Pionen national communications hub for weeks without contact with the outside world. Environmentally friendly refrigeration system promotes the chill in the air off the mountain. In summer, use a closed water system. the total maximum cooling capacity is 1.2 MW.

Connections to all

Two 96-pars connections Stokab, with different cable paths into the mountain. 40 channels per fiber pair in full-duplex giving a combined capacity of 600 terabits per second. Convergence time, ie the time it takes to connect over to spare fibers in the event of cable breaks, less than a second.

Pionen connects directly to all national Netnod-nodes and to NIX in Norway, DIX in Denmark and AMS-IX in Amsterdam.

Pionen also connects directly to the Bahnhof own terabit network, with its major hubs at 50 different main cities in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark, as well as to the Bahnhof other data centers in Malmö, Borlänge, Lund and Stockholm.
